SRM University (Ramapuram Campus) Review.

Hi guys, it me again,MJ with a review of one of the so called best university and no. 1 private university in South India. After completing the 12th grade in Tamil Nadu state board syllabus, I like all the students, wanted to join one of the best university like the IITs, NITs, and the bottom line some choices like VIT and SRM and BITS. 

I wrote many entrance and just got SRM and attended counselling and selected SRM Ramapuram campus. But the first thing i noticed about the campus is the infrastructure, its nothing when compared to the main campus. Small class rooms without AC, Even labs are non air conditioned. Boys hostel II is not at all having attached bathrooms. So you have to wait for your turn, that's just quite annoying. The class timing also is a headache, starts at 8 o clock and ends 3.30 pm, when compared to main campus (9.00 - 3.00). 

Next thing is the faculties. There are some experienced teachers and some freshers but not so many. The university is very strict regarding the academics  if you dint have enough attendance you cant write the semester, money wont work here. Also some teachers in this campus are enforcing the students to wear formals and guys who wearing jeans and tees are some times punished, although SRM's code of conduct clearly states that we can wear jeans and tees. But never mind they cant do anything against the code of conduct, we'll win this one, but beware we have 50 marks of internal.

Disappointments:

1. After visting the Main Campus, i expected the campus to be wifi enabled. But only main block has wifi and you have to pay for the service. That sucks.

2. The infrastructure is not so good, but dont worry, we have everything we want.

But having said that this thing is better and best when compared to the affiliated colleges of Anna University, expect few colleges which do their job very well.

Advantages:

1. There are many companies visit the campus to recruite students all you have to do is prepare.

2. that too you are not alone, from the first year on we have placement training classes, by some excellent advisors from all over India.

3. Semester abroad programs helps us to get along with the global nations and culture and you'll have lot of exposers. 

Final verdict: This campus is worth the money you pay, but not like the main campus. So aim for Main campus, where you can overworth your money
